|
In the 6-3 Portland win over Havana, the impact of Ezequiel Cruz was substantial. Cruz went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Andy Buhrke finished to wrap up his 34th save. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Beavers.
Portland used a big swing from Ethan Breaux to get the win. The right fielder walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Beavers up, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.
"It feels good to get this one," Cruz told the Portland Times.
