Pizzas Topple Knights with Late Rally
The Detroit Pizzas faced a tough opponent in Brooklyn pitcher Ray Totino, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Brooklyn Coliseum by a final score of 6-4. Totino went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Detroit is now 74-70, 5 games up in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.

Detroit used the timely hitting of Jimmy Lung to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pizzas on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Feels good to get the job done," Lung said after the game.
