Pizzas Pull Out Late-Game Win, 5-4
Getting a good performance from catcher Byron Brymer, the Detroit Pizzas defeated the Yellowstone Super Volcano, 5-4. Brymer hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Pizzas. Julio Diaz, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. Jose Bautista was credited with the save for Detroit, his 4th of the season.

Mike Deaner came through with a big-time hit for Detroit. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 17th inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Feels good to get the job done," Deaner said after the game.

With the win, Detroit upped its record to 81-61.
