Beavers Pull Out Late Win, 4-3
The Portland Beavers dealt the Buffalo Buffalo a 4-3 loss in 10 innings at Beavers Park. Matt Lamons was the star on offense. He went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Andy Buhrke in relief, making him now 5-7. Omar Gallegos took the loss for Buffalo. The second-place Beavers improved to 76-66.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Lamons hit a fastball from Omar Gallegos for a run-scoring single. The Beavers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Lamons.
