Sugardome II was the site of a competitive game between the Havana Sugar Kings and Detroit Pizzas.
Detroit Pizzas starter Ed Pike pitched a strong game against the Havana Sugar Kings at Sugardome II, leading the Pizzas to victory, 4-3. Picking up the save was Satoharu Sato. He's now 11 for 12 in save chances.
Chris Adams, who finished 4th in the AL in triples with 4 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Adams contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Detroit up, 4-2.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Adams told the Detroit Bulletin.
Detroit bumps their record to 84-58 with the win.
