Kyiv got a strong outing from Brian Collins as the Cossacks defeated the Havana Sugar Kings, 6-2, at Sugardome II. With the loss, Havana is 2-4.

The Cossacks benefited from an error in the top of the sixth inning. Kyiv was leading 4-2 when Jorge Hernandez hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Kyiv in front, 6-2.

"Enjoyed this one," Hernandez told the Kyiv Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
