The Brooklyn Knights powered past the Portland Beavers, 8-3, at Beavers Park. Silvio Veldhoven went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4, to lead the charge. John MacMullen, now 3-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Grant Ferguson closed it out for his 4th save.

With Brooklyn leading 3-2 in the top of the seventh, Veldhoven hit a fastball from Chris Duffy for a 3-run home run. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Knights ahead, 6-2.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Brooklyn manager Enoch Tang.

The Knights, now 72-69, have won 4 in a row.
