Josh Freeland, who is tied for 2nd in the FL in strikeouts with 243, imposed his will on the Buffalo from the get-go. Relying mainly on his sinker, the right-hander spearheaded the 5-1 Sudbury triumph. Freeland got the win, improving to 12-10. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. With the win, Sudbury has a record of 77-63. Buffalo falls to 67-73.

Sudbury left fielder Albert Bencomo contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 116th hit of the season and put the Blueberry Bulldogs ahead, 3-0.
