Bencomo Leads Blueberry Bulldogs to Win
The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs outscored the Detroit Pizzas, 10-9. Among the hitting stars was left fielder Albert Bencomo. Bencomo, who is tied for 4th in the FL with a .906 OPS, went 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Rourke Ireland picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-1 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 5 innings, while yielding 5 runs. The setback makes Detroit 68-68.

Early in the game, Bencomo had a bases-clearing double for Sudbury. It was his 24th double of the season and put the Blueberry Bulldogs on top, 3-0.
