Buffalo Rally Late to Clip Portland
|
Portland first baseman Danny Gutierrez had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-3, to Buffalo at The Greenhouse. Gutierrez was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Buffalo has now won 3 straight, while the Beavers have lost 3 in a row.
Jacob Estes took Portland hurler Chris Duffy deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Buffalo on top, 4-3. In all, Estes had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Estes told the Buffalo Observer.
