Red Storm Win Squeaker, 5-4, Over Archies
|
The Red Storm earned a hard-fought, 5-4 win in 10 innings at Team2 Ballpark. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from St. Louis pitcher Jim Harrington. Harrington went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Red Storm sport a record of 50-86.
Lansing took advantage of an error in the top of the tenth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Carlos Jimenez hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Red Storm in front, 5-4.
"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Red Storm manager GM TDen.
