Blueberry Bulldogs Roll Over Buffalo, 9-4
|
The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs topped the Buffalo Buffalo, 9-4, in Federation League action at The Greenhouse. The standout performance belonged to Sudbury designated hitter and Surprise, Arizona, native Josh Freeland. The winning pitcher was George Wilson. He's now 6-2. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 11 hits for the Blueberry Bulldogs. The third-place Blueberry Bulldogs now sit at 25-30.
In the top of the third, Freeland had a 2-run home run for Sudbury. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Blueberry Bulldogs on top, 4-2.
"Josh made some big pitches when he needed to," said Blueberry Bulldogs manager Coach John.
