The Hanoi Dragon Warriors picked up a win at The Nest, downing the St. Louis Archies, 4-2. On the mound for Hanoi was right-hander Aaron Wierzba, who played a pivotal role in the win. Wierzba got the win, improving to 12-9. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The loss makes St. Louis 84-50.
The Dragon Warriors got a big at-bat from right fielder Josh Sunday. For the game, Sunday went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Hanoi a 2-1 lead.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Sunday told the Hanoi Gazette.
