The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Luis Espinoza to a win, beating the Los Angeles Kings, 3-2, at Bulldogs Ballpark. Reliever Eric Barone picked up the win. His record improves to 5-7. Nelson Gonzalez, who finished 3rd in the FL in saves with 39 in 2035, took the loss. The Blueberry Bulldogs are now 68-66, while the Kings fall to 66-67.

Sudbury won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Nelson Gonzalez on the mound for Los Angeles, designated hitter Josh Deere hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Blueberry Bulldogs fans to their feet.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Deere said, postgame.
