Blue Rocks Capture 8-2 Win at Desert Storm Stadium
2052 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Arizona Scorpions.

Victor Velasco, who finished 2nd in the AL in wins with 16 in 2050, had a strong outing for the Wilmington Blue Rocks against the Arizona Scorpions at Desert Storm Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 8-2 win. Adrian Hernandez earned his 1st save in 1 chances.

Wilmington used the hitting of Josh Benavidez to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Blue Rocks on top, 3-1. For the game, Benavidez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Velasco said.

Wilmington is now 65-68, while Arizona is 40-93.
