The 6-5 Brooklyn win over Dublin was due largely to Ed Putty. The Knights first baseman went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Zion Anthony converted his 10th save in 15 tries. With the win, Brooklyn raised its record to 67-66.

Brooklyn grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Putty hit a grand slam home run off Jason Hendsbee. His 24th home run of the season put the Knights out in front, 5-1.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Putty.
