Sudbury pitcher Josh Freeland did his part in helping his team defeat the Arizona Desert Storm, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Justin Roeber, 4-4, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The Blueberry Bulldogs bumped their record to 72-60 with this win.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Freeland hit a fastball from Andy Buhrke for a 2-run home run. The Blueberry Bulldogs, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Sudbury skipper Coach John. "I can't complain."
