The Hanoi Dragon Warriors topped the Detroit Pizzas, 7-4, in Alliance League action at Pizzas Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Hanoi pitcher and Holly Hill, Florida, native Jamie Conway. The loss makes Detroit 80-52.
Hanoi used a clutch at-bat from Ronnie Viverette to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Dragon Warriors ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Jamie was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Hanoi manager GM Schnee.
