Jack Frick pitched well, but his team, the San Antonio Aztecs, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Dublin Porters at Porters Ballpark. Chris Gills, credited with the win, is now 9-5. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Dublin is now 82-49, San Antonio 63-70.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 26-year old second baseman Victor Ruiz had a real shot to win the game. San Antonio pitcher Jack Frick was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Ruiz hit a run-scoring single. The Porters had a walk-off triumph.

"Tough loss," said San Antonio manager Jim Lumo. "But we'll learn from it."
