Blueberry Bulldogs Hand Buffalo 11-3 Loss
|
The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs powered past the Buffalo Buffalo, 11-3, at Bulldogs Ballpark. Tom Stanley provided some of the pop. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Nate Yarbrough picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 13-8. Pat Curtis earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
Sudbury took the lead, 9-3, on Zachery Lambert's 16th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Buffalo pitcher John Huizar in the bottom of the seventh.
"We take it day by day here," said Stanley, "and today was a good one for us."
The loss makes Buffalo 67-66.
