Hyenas Win at Dublin, 4-2
|
The East Haddam Hyenas defeated the Dublin Porters, 4-2, in Federation League action at Porters Ballpark. East Haddam pitcher Einar Galindo had a standout performance. The winner was Galindo. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Eddie Lomeli. Jesse Lutz notched his 5th save in 6 chances.
Dave Bland, who is tied for 7th in the FL in runs scored with 78, had a direct impact on the outcome. Bland contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put East Haddam up, 2-0.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Galindo, "and then get after it again."
The Hyenas improved their record to 52-79 with the win over Dublin.
