Hyenas Get 4-3 Win Versus Dublin
|
The East Haddam Hyenas locked up a win at Porters Ballpark, knocking off the Dublin Porters, 4-3. On the mound for East Haddam was left-hander Efrain Sanchez. He played a major role in the triumph. Sanchez got the win, improving to 4-3. He gave up 3 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. He allowed 3 runs. East Haddam is 51-79 and Dublin, with the loss, 57-74.
East Haddam used the timely hitting of Jerrod Conners to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hyenas on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Conners told a East Haddam Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
