Knights Come Up Short at Hanoi, 3-2
|
Starting pitcher Andy Pittman gave the Hanoi Dragon Warriors a rock-solid effort. The Brewster, Massachusetts native helped his team defeat the Brooklyn Knights, 3-2, at The Nest. Pittman picked up the win for Hanoi, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 10-5. Landon Paulick, credited with the save, is now 22 for 25 in save opportunities.
Scot Shearing, who finished 5th in the AL in triples with 4 in 2045, helped out the Hanoi cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Brooklyn manager Enoch Tang.
After today's action, Hanoi sits at 65-66; Brooklyn slips to 63-68.
