Pizzas catcher Byron Brymer put his stamp on his team's 7-4 win over the Havana Sugar Kings. Brymer was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Detroit in the contest. Bill Arellano was credited with the save, his 5th in 6 tries. The loss makes Havana 63-67.

Brymer had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 3-1 cutter from Fernando Moreno, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Pizzas a 7-4 lead. It was the 22nd home run of the year for Brymer.

"I'm proud to wear a Detroit jersey," Brymer told the Detroit Times. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
