Sugar Kings Roll to 11-1 Win Over Beavers
The Havana Sugar Kings pinned a convincing loss on the Portland Beavers, 11-1, at Beavers Park. Pavlov Pantofel was a main factor in the win. He was 3-5 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 3 for Havana. Tylor Nicolia snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 1.2 innings. He's now 2-1 on the season. The Sugar Kings bumped their record to 71-59 with this win.

Jay Wesner had a big solo home run for the Sugar Kings in the top of the fifth inning. With Havana leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he got a splitter from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Sam Davis and swatted a home run to right. It was his 10th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sugar Kings ahead, 3-1.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Pantofel.
