Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Porters
The Dublin Porters had to overcome a big game from Kyiv designated hitter Andy Lester to leave Porters Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning, 10-9, in 11 innings. Lester was 3 for 5 with 3 doubles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Chris Gills notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The decisive moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Dublin. That's when Steve Barone hit a run-scoring double off seven-time All-Star Evan King to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
