The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs got a sterling performance from shortstop Bob Saenz, but the St. Louis Archies still prevailed, 6-5. Saenz went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. St. Louis pitcher Shuhei Ouchi earned the win, hiking his record to 17-4. Josh Deere suffered the loss. After today's action, St. Louis sits at 86-40, while Sudbury falls to 64-64.

The Archies got an important contribution from first baseman Brian Cifelli, who in the bottom of the first punched a full count changeup to center for a 2-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Archies ahead, 3-0.

"Good win," said Cifelli. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
