The Portland Beavers earned a win at Porters Ballpark, knocking off the Dublin Porters, 3-2. On the bump for Portland was right-hander Chris Duffy. He had a starring role in the triumph. Duffy got the win, improving to 8-10. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Tony Orellana earned his 29th save in 34 tries.
The Beavers benefited from an error in the top of the fourth inning. Portland was leading 2-1 when Danny Gutierrez hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Portland in front, 3-1.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Dublin manager Hannah Porter said, following the tough loss.
Portland is now 55-72.
