Super Volcano Send Portland Home with 13-5 Loss
The Yellowstone Super Volcano defeated the Portland Beavers by the score of 13-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Pedro Gonzalez. Gonzalez went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Super Volcano on the day. The winning pitcher was 36-year old right-handed pitcher John Griese. He tossed 103 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits.
