Sugar Kings Lose to Dragon Warriors, 6-3
|
Hanoi pitcher Tony Ramos did his part in helping his team beat the Havana Sugar Kings, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Ramos got the win, improving to 6-11. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Hanoi is now 69-59, Havana 68-60.
Justin Gonsalez had a big 2-run home run for the Dragon Warriors in the bottom of the second inning. With Hanoi leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Mitchell and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Dragon Warriors on top, 3-0.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Gonsalez.
