Due in large part to left fielder Tyler Baldacci, the Portland Beavers sunk the Los Angeles Kings, 14-4. Baldacci went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. Portland is 24-30 and Los Angeles, with the loss, 27-27.

With Portland leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Baldacci hit a curveball from Earl Alexander for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Beavers ahead, 7-3.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Baldacci told the Portland Gazette.
