Kings Pull Even With 6-5 Victory
The Los Angeles Kings beat the Buffalo Buffalo, 6-5, at Sportsman's Park. The win was due in part to shortstop Jimmy Allen, who was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times. Joey Frank, the winning pitcher, improved to 11-7. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 10 and walking 2. Edgar Valencia got the save, his 9th in 11 chances.

The Buffalo had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Kings going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the top prospect Anthony Sudduth came to the plate. Sudduth hit a 2-run home run on a 2-0 sinker from Buffalo hurler Vinny Zavala. It was Sudduth's 4th home run of the year.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Sudduth.

Los Angeles now has a record of 62-62 with the win.
