Benefiting from Chris Nicotra's productive game, the Arizona Desert Storm downed the Lansing Red Storm, 7-1. Nicotra slugged 2 home runs for the Desert Storm. Arizona starter Ron Cook was credited with the win after throwing 106 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 12-6. With this game in the books, Arizona is 69-55, Lansing 40-85.

Arizona used the clutch hitting of Ben Potgeter to snag the win. The left fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Desert Storm ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
