The Dublin Porters handed the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs a loss at Bulldogs Ballpark. The final score was 8-7. Peter Thompson was one of the major contributors for Dublin. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Trenton Peterson picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 7-7. Brett Richardson suffered the loss. Wayne Murphy, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Jesse Oswald came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Sudbury pitcher Brett Richardson, he hit a 2-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Dublin on top, 8-7.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Thompson told the Dublin Daily News.

Dublin goes to 68-56, Sudbury to 60-64.
