Widel Pops Two Homers in 11-9 Win for Dublin
The Dublin Porters defeated the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, 11-9, in part because of designated hitter Jason Widel. Widel slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Porters. Wayne Murphy closed it out for his 5th save. Dublin now owns a record of 67-56.

Dublin needed the clutch hitting of Manny Barraza to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Porters on top, 11-9. For the game, Barraza had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Dublin manager Hannah Porter.
