Dragon Warriors Score Late to Upend Buffalo, 8-5
|
The Hanoi Dragon Warriors picked up a win at The Nest, taking down the Buffalo Buffalo, 8-5. Starting pitcher Chris Gills was a big reason why. Hanoi reliever Jamie Conway was the winner. His record is now 7-1. The losing pitcher was Glenn DePue. Noah Powell finished the game for Hanoi and earned his 35th save.
Hanoi took the lead, 6-5, on Danny Laines's 18th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Buffalo pitcher Glenn DePue in the bottom of the eighth.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Gills.
The win for the Dragon Warriors raised their record to 66-58.
