Getting offensive support from Ben Potgeter, the Arizona Desert Storm topped the Lansing Red Storm, 11-6. Potgeter went 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Desert Storm. Terry Donohue, the winning pitcher, is now 8-8. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 8 and walking 2. Esteban Vega recorded the save for Arizona, his 4th of the season.

Arizona used a well-timed hit by Joe Gainey to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Desert Storm ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Gainey.
