The home crowd had a good time watching the Arizona Scorpions and Osaka Takoyaki get after it.

The Osaka Takoyaki topped the Arizona Scorpions, 8-5, at Takoyaki Park. Osaka right fielder Jon Pegoretti was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double. Justin Donahue, the winner, goes to 8-9. He allowed 5 runs on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts over 5.2 innings. Daniel Forsyth, credited with the save, is now 2 for 3 in save opportunities.

Jim Boucher had a big 2-run home run for the Takoyaki in the bottom of the third inning. With Osaka trailing 4-3 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a changeup from Jay Marshall, who finished 3rd in the FL in batting average with .322 last year, and punished it. The result was his 16th home run of the season, which put the Takoyaki on top, 5-4.

"They had a good approach," Arizona skipper GM PerryPHX said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."

The Scorpions, at 35-87, have lost 7 straight games.
