The Euharlee Hammerheads were almost helpless in their 14-0 loss to the Buffalo Red Sox and hurler Chris Allison. Allison kept the Hammerheads confused all game, spinning a 1-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Allison," Euharlee manager Eric Jones said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 21-year-old right-hander had 4 walks and 3 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Allison said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

Over the season Allison has thrown 40.1 innings and dished out 19 strikeouts with a 4-0 mark and a 0.67 ERA.
