5-Hit Blitz by Long Island's Vidali
|
5 times is the charm -- at least for Jorge Vidali.
The Long Island Ducks center fielder tore up the Euharlee Hammerheads to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Ducks Ballpark. The offensive onslaught from Vidali powered the 4-3 Ducks win.
"Vidali was a tough out," Euharlee manager Eric Jones said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Jorge Vidali singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 10th.
Thus far this season, Vidali has hit .379 with 1 home run, 17 RBIs and scored 29 times.
