Mannis Belts Bunch of Base Hits
The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Kevin Mannis.

The shortstop for the Grosse Pointe Better Mades hit the milestone against the Can Tho Cobras, helping his club to a narrow 11-10 victory. Mannis finished with a 5-for-6 line at the plate.

"Mannis was a tough out," Can Tho manager Esteve Varanda told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one."

Kevin Mannis singled in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 10th.

So far this year, Mannis is hitting .419 with 3 home runs.
