The Havana Sugar Kings tallied a win at Sugardome II, throttling the East Haddam Hyenas, 5-2. Starting pitcher Luis Lezama was a big reason for his team's success. Kurat Feyzioglu closed out the game, earning his 16th save. With the win, the Sugar Kings sit at 29-25.

Matt Freese had a big hit for Havana in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Havana leading 2-1, Freese hit a solo home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Sugar Kings up, 3-1.

"I just made my pitches," said Lezama, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
