Cobras, Mason Silence Colorado Springs, 10-0
|
The Colorado Springs Generals manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Can Tho Cobras. The Generals were overpowered by Can Tho starter Ken Mason, who hurled his club to victory, 10-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Collin Walker said.
Over 9 innings, Mason blanked Colorado Springs on 4 hits with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Mason said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
On the year, Mason has compiled a 11-1 mark with a 2.55 ERA.
