Cossacks Take Down Knights, 4-3
|
The Kyiv Cossacks topped the Brooklyn Knights, 4-3, in 12 innings at Brooklyn Coliseum. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kyiv pitcher Jamie Conway. Kyiv reliever Adrian Ducote snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Pete Gamblin shouldered the loss. Kyiv is now 25-27, while Brooklyn is 28-25.
Kyiv used the timely hitting of Kelvin William to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Cossacks on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Conway.
