The Nest was the site for Federation League action featuring the Hanoi Dragon Warriors and Kyiv Cossacks.
Starting Pitcher Larry Collier was lights out, as the Kyiv Cossacks beat the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 4-1. Picking up the save was Bill Williams, his 1st.
Steve Buffington, who finished 4th in the FL in wins above replacement with 4.8 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Buffington contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning to put Kyiv up, 2-0.
"Larry is a gamer," said Kyiv manager Boris Lahutin.
Kyiv currently is in second place in the Federation League Knuckleheads Division at 28-25.
