Wayfinders Get Past Dublin for 3-2 Win
|
The Waikiki Wayfinders finished things off in style.
Waikiki Wayfinders starter Joe Johnson was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Dublin Porters, 3-2. The win was credited to Alfredo Barahona in relief. His record improves to 2-2. George Ritchie took the loss.
Scott Gamet was the walk-off hero for Waikiki. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wayfinders pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm proud to wear a Waikiki jersey," Johnson told the Waikiki Daily. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
With the win over Dublin, the Wayfinders improved to 19-31.
