Yellowstone Loses, 2-1, Despite Frick Performance
|
Crowds lined up early in front of Volcano Ballpark, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2051 The Confederation of Baseball Dunces season. On the mound was Jason Scothorn for the visiting Portland Beavers and Jack Frick for the hometown Yellowstone Super Volcano. In a spirited contest, the Beavers pulled out the win, defeating the Super Volcano by the score of 2-1. Especially impressive was Jack Frick. The save went to Tony Orellana, number 1 for him.
Frick pitched a very strong game for the Super Volcano, allowing 2 hits in 8 innings while striking out 5. It was all for naught, however.
