Los Angeles Defeated by Brooklyn, 7-3
|
Manny Aguayo, who finished 4th in the AL in strikeouts with 255 last year, was locked in. The left-hander led the Brooklyn Knights to a 7-3 win against the Los Angeles Kings at Brooklyn Coliseum. Aguayo, now 5-2, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The win boosted Brooklyn to 28-23.
The Knights got a big at-bat from shortstop Danny White. For the game, White was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 3-1 lead.
"Manny was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Brooklyn manager Enoch Tang.
