The Osaka Takoyaki got a marvelous performance from pitcher Mark Foglesong. The right-hander kept the East Haddam offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 5-1 Osaka victory at Takoyaki Park. The winning pitcher was Foglesong, now 4-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 10. The loss makes East Haddam 22-27.

Osaka took a 3-1 lead on Sam Clark's 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Clark hit in the bottom of the seventh, left East Haddam pitcher Jin-woong Yang visibly frustrated.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said East Haddam manager Joe Jankowski.
