Peter Thompson impressed in the 6-5 Dublin win over Lansing. Thompson, who is tied for 10th in the FL in RBI with 32, went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The winning pitcher was Andy Pittman. His record now stands at 7-3. The left-hander went 6.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits for the Porters. With the win, Dublin raised its record to 30-18.
Noel Graeve had a big 3-run home run for the Porters in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Dublin trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a sinker from Richard Arocha, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2039 draft, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Porters on top, 3-1.
"We ground out the win," said Thompson. "That's all that matters."
