Brett Richardson, who finished 4th in the FL in wins with 15 last year, was locked in. The right-hander led the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs to a 5-3 win against the Arizona Desert Storm at Bulldogs Ballpark. Richardson yielded 3 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 8-2. The win elevated the Blueberry Bulldogs to 27-21.

Sudbury second baseman Joe Seelye helped the Blueberry Bulldogs go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Seelye hit a run-scoring single off Arizona pitcher Mario Martinez.

"Brett gave us a heck of an effort," said Sudbury manager Coach John.
