Kings Get Past Brooklyn for 3-2 Win
|
The Los Angeles Kings eked out a 3-2 win versus the Brooklyn Knights at Sportsman's Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Brian Collins. He was terrific. Jim Davis, now 2-2, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The slumping Knights have lost 6 straight.
Lugh Hughes was the walk-off hero for Los Angeles. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Kings right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The fans went nuts at the end," Hughes said.
