Blueberry Bulldogs Deal Lansing 6-4 Defeat
|
The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs picked up a win at Bulldogs Ballpark, knocking off the Lansing Red Storm, 6-4. On the mound for Sudbury was right-hander George Wilson. He played a key role in the triumph. The Red Storm, now 46-73, have lost 7 straight.
Jacob Jeffries had a big bases-clearing double for the Blueberry Bulldogs in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Sudbury leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Kane Tulk and swatted a double to left. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blueberry Bulldogs ahead, 5-0.
"George can bring it," said Sudbury manager Coach John.
